According to business owners, they aim for an incredible USD 100.00 million in export revenue per season. Throughout the year, there has been a sharp increase in demand for the Omani Islamic prayer cap (Kumma, Kufi, or Taqiyah), which can be machine-embroidered or handmade. In Mohadevpur upazila of Naogaon, the trade started around ten years ago when a small number of people started making the Omani Islamic prayer cap (Kumma, Kufi, or Taqiyah) by hand. The company grew quickly as local women became proficient in creating both handcrafted and machine-embroidered versions.
